Thought it might be nice if the tt server could be updated to the latest version so that people who actually want to can use it. its just sitting there doing nothing, and while I guess you could say nobody was using it much before, I think with the advent of teamtalk for Ios it might get some more use. it could also be argued that when it was up and running before it never got reset so the thing was choppy as hell, consequently leading to people looking for alternative servers to use. anyway I for one think it should be updated. I'm not a paying member of the site, but I do think its most basic features should be maintained. Teamtalk was one of the main reason some people used to use the zone, I personally started using it a whole lot more when the server was first put up.
so, a tt update please, if its not too much to ask.

Dale, this actually was proposed by a CL who heard yallz mentioning it, so it's being discussed. Looks promising though? I'll keep you all updated when we know more.
Agreed. I think people will use it, especially with it now being available on the iPhone. Let's hope its up and running soon.
I too will cast my vote for the server to be updated! With the Ios being available, I know I will use TT a lot more.
Concur with everyone else here. Beats being tied to one's computer.
If it gets updated and I can use it on my iPhone, I'll try to be around. There are so many confrances that I've wanted to join over the years, but I know my hearing just won't let me do it. Still, it would be worth a try.
Since ZBP's a thing of the past, it's necessary. After Cerebral Pulsite, I will not give my private number out, anymore. Actually, it's not just him. It's other things too. But, we require a "Safe Place," to link up.

I was the one who originally brought this up to the staff, but no official word if they will be doing the update yet. Too bad I don't have Google Fiber, I would consider hosting a version 5 from here. Obviously, I'm in favor of the upgrade.
It sure beats strange people having your number. I don't mean everyone, but, I won't deny some strange experiences, like someoone wanting me to move to another state, to "live with me and Grandma..."
If someone's going to offer that kind of strangeness, TT's the way to go. LOL
I gave some people my number, and I hope you keep it. Others, like Mr. Pulsite, can lose it. LOL

First of all thanks to those of you who contributed to this board. It doesn't seem like the
site admins are planning to do very much about it unfortunately. If they could let us know
either way that would be nice.
How does one go about finding conferences to join? I used to conference with several folks from here a year or so ago but the server info, or whatever, got changed and I can't find them. Is there some sort of listing of conferences?
Stay tuned, we're trying. That's about all I can say for now.
scott and I did chat on it just now. The list of channels is still missing, so I had to create one for the purpose of testing. I didn't save it to the server though.
I wonder does this measure cost? Maybe a hosting fee added or something?
If so, I wonder if it would speed things along if the people interested would commit to cover the fee?
Team Talk has been updated to version 5. They made some internal changes, so this was more involved than simply installing an update. If you had a premium channel and are still premium, your channel is waiting for you. If you become premium, you can have your own Team Talk channel and set passwords to control who can enter and who can admin it. Let us know if you experience any problems. Happy chatting!

I was never active on TeamTalk but might be, now that there's an iOS app. Will have to play around and learn how to use it.

Teamtalk for iOS is very easy to use, it's very self exclamatory and it works well.
The problem of users being unable to speak has been fixed. Team Talk 5 changed its permissions system and we had to adapt.
I, for one, am happy this is now available. One downside of the old system was needing to be tied to one's computer.
Now it can be used from iPhone or anywhere.
